Shralp Spot Guide - The Garage Skatepark

Dunder smith in the bowl

So as the dirty ole bastard that is shit weather rears it's ugly head from what seemed like a promising start to spring SYB wanted to drop it's very first Skate Spot Guide for The Garage Skatepark in Livi.

Shezz - blasting a tight one from quarter tae tiny bank

So what's in it? To sum up briefly:-
1. Sick peanut bowl with shallow and deep end.
2. Sweet mini ramp, with spine and 2 extensions, one with crete coping.
3. Large fun box with rails and conecting quarters.
4. Large quarter with vert
5. Vert walls
6. Smaller beginner areas.
7. Benson hinging about.

So keeping it brief here's a summary... good shit:- It's a decent layout, it flows and has some decent lines to hit different obstacles and means if there are wee kids in the way you can skate another bit with frustration. The different size and skill level also means there is something for every shredder, and room for improvement. The bowl is fucking amazing. The mini is nearly as good. The prices are decent as well, you can get an hour for around £3.50, two hours for £5.50.

Bad things:- Pretty minimal, but the spine on the mini ramp takes a bit of getting used to as it's only 1 metal coping thick (instead of the usual 2) but it kinda makes it more interesting to shred. The opening hours... it's only open until 8pm every night, it would make a massive difference if it was open to 10pm but I dunno what the story is behind that... might be licensing rules. We'll wait and see.

So overall - it's well worth a visit. And to keep places like this open you have to hit it up when it's wet. Bear that in mind the next time you get a decent shred at an indoor park when it's pissing it down ootside.
